El último sábado de abril fue celebrado el Día Nacional de las Primeras Damas. El lunes que comienza la semana laboral, tiene relevancia recordar el apoyo de las Primeras Damas para emprender las agendas de gobierno.
El rol de Primera Dama tiene suma importancia. Constituye el vital apoyo de amor para el gobernante y le brinda el toque especial alcance humanitario a la acción de dirección y gobierno.
La Fundación Rafael Hernández Colón sigue el modelo de las Fundaciones Presidenciales de Estados Unidos, por lo que con sumo placer se une al gran significado de reconocer el legado de las Primeras Damas.
En Puerto Rico, la Primera Dama Lila Mayoral fue el mayor apoyo para el Gobernador Rafael Hernández Colón. Sus méritos, activa fe, humildad y liderazgo natural le facilitaron dar nuevos niveles al rol de Primera Dama. Por tal motivo, hay una Sala en la Fundación Rafael Hernández Colón dedicada a su Memoria. Invitamos a la ciudadanía a que nos visiten o coordinar el recorrido en la Fundación que incluye la visita a esta Sala.
Las jornadas de las generaciones seguirán su propio curso a tono con sus llamados y las realidades del momento. Para trazar bien esos caminos hay sabiduría al contar con la base histórica y ahí, una piedra fundamental está en las Primeras Damas.

The last Saturday of April was National First Ladies Day. As the work week begins on Monday, it is important to remember the support of First Ladies in carrying out government agendas.
The role of First Lady is of paramount importance. She provides vital support and love to the head of state and lends a special humanitarian touch to the actions of leadership and governance.
The Rafael Hernández-Colón Foundation follows the model of the Presidential Foundations in the United States, and is therefore delighted to join in recognizing the legacy of First Ladies.
In Puerto Rico, First Lady Lila Mayoral was Governor Rafael Hernández Colón’s greatest supporter. Her merits, active faith, humility, and natural leadership enabled her to elevate the role of First Lady to new heights. For this reason, there is a room at the Rafael Hernández Colón Foundation dedicated to her memory. We invite the public to visit us or coordinate a tour at the Foundation that includes a visit to this Room.
The paths of each generation will follow their own course, in accordance with their calling and the realities of the moment. To chart these paths well, wisdom comes from having a historical foundation, and there, a cornerstone lies in the First Ladies.
